Melanie has been an asset to my students' and their development.  My students have had the opportunity of learning in depth the meaning of critical life skills. Miss Melanie makes them aware of these concepts and teaches them to value themselves. I also gain a lot from her presence as she is a great model and shows great techniques for teaching children the explicit meanings of words and how to value them. 

My students looked forward to visiting with Ms. Melanie every week!  As teachers these days we get so wrapped up in our content areas and test preparation we sometimes forget to openly "speak" to our students on simple human relations issues. "Speak To Children" gave my students a chance to speak their minds, and allowed them to see how I felt on these issues as well.  The program not only allowed them to form a closer bond with each other, but with myself as well.
