Purpose:
Description:
The talk begins with a definition of the word sharing. We review spelling, pronunciation and give specific examples to help the children understand how it applies to them. We then use role-playing activities to reinforce the childrens understanding of the concept. We may perform a skit with the teacher, then have the children choose partners and practice sharing with each other. These exercises are designed to give children an opportunity to experience the good feeling that comes from giving. At the end of the session, children are asked to draw a picture in their workbook that demonstrates what they have learned.
Outcomes:
SHAR-ING To use or enjoy together with others
"Learning the importance of sharing can affect how a child develops relationships."
